FALL IS DEFINITELY IN THE AIR! COOL MORNINGS DOWN INTO THE LOW 30's, ICE COVERING MY SKEETER BAY BOAT, BOAT DOCKS ICED OVER AND SMITH GLASSES FREEZING THEMSELVES TO MY FACE WHEN RUNNING OUT TO THE FISHING GROUNDS AT OVER 30 MPH
All the food items are out and in play at Crowley right now. The poor fish don't know what to key in on right now, Perch Fry, Tui-Chub Fry, Damsels, Callibaetis, Midges, Leeches, Snails, take your pick but choose wisely.
Don't know what to make of it right now anglers, Crowley has had some good consistent high pressure days in a row, fantastic bug hatch with chironomids everywhere on the lake and some the size of small birds but yet the bigs are still not coming out to play. Callibaetis have been showing up some days in numbers and the Damsels are starting to show up in numbers also.
The fish and the weather have been big at Crowley!
